The Merchant Reality Audit

A practical, evidence-led review of how a business accepts, manages, and reconciles payments—before anybody jumps to a processor recommendation.

What it is

Start with reality. Not a rate sheet.

A statement can reveal important clues, but it doesn't capture how a business operates. We begin by learning the operation, finding the right questions, and separating facts from assumptions.

There is no automatic promise of savings, approval, or a new processing account. The purpose is to understand whether a change is warranted at all.

Review areas
  • Business model and customer payment habits
  • Current pricing and fee visibility
  • Deposits, funding, refunds, and disputes
  • POS, invoicing, integrations, and workflow
  • Contract terms and switching constraints
  • Risk profile and operational continuity
Our method

What you can prepare

You can start by identifying your current providers, payment channels, common transaction types, and the questions you want answered. A recent statement may eventually help with a private review, but do not upload statements, banking details, or customer data through this website. Secure document intake is not available on this initial release.

Privacy first: We do not ask for account numbers, merchant IDs, bank statements, or sensitive financial documents through a public form. If document exchange is needed later, an appropriate secure process must be established first.

Possible outcomes

  • Keep: Your existing arrangement may already suit your operation.
  • Optimize: Address statement questions, workflows, or operational gaps without an unnecessary provider change.
  • Explore: Investigate alternatives when a meaningful reason and a suitable path exist.
  • Pause: Gather more evidence when the economics or operational risks are unclear.
