Independence and commercial disclosures

Merchant trust requires explaining how the publication may earn revenue—and separating that from what we recommend.

What this publication is

Payment Processing Industry is an independent educational and merchant-intelligence property. It is not itself represented here as a bank, card network, acquirer or universal processor underwriting service.

Our purpose is to help merchants understand costs and workflows and make better decisions. If a merchant-specific assessment identifies a genuine need, an introduction to a suitable specialist or provider may be considered.

How compensation may work

The business model may include paid research, business-improvement services, and consented referrals to payment or technology providers. Where an active referral arrangement applies to a specific introduction, the nature of the incentive should be disclosed before a handoff.

Do not assume a referral agreement currently exists with a named business simply because there is an industry relationship or past conversation. No public partner ranking on this site is sold as an advertisement.

What compensation cannot buy

A referral incentive does not determine whether the merchant should change providers, what our editorial content says, or whether a company earns a favorable ranking.

A recommendation may properly be to keep the current provider, renegotiate terms, correct workflows, or seek a different category of specialist.

Consent and private information

Merchant contact information is not broadly distributed to processors without clear permission for the specific purpose. Sensitive statements, bank details, cardholder information and credentials are not accepted by the public website at this stage.

Any future protected document flow must establish consent, retention, access, deletion and security responsibilities before use.

How to read our content

Educational examples are not quotes, guarantees, legal opinions, financial forecasts or certification of a named provider. Confirm current requirements and commercial terms with the responsible sources.

No named processor is being endorsed by this disclosure. A specific commercial relationship, if established and activated, requires its own clear disclosure before merchant routing.
